The Donation for Constructing Yihai Overseas Chinese Benevolence Health Center

On July 20, 2013, Weiguang Town of Hulin City, Heilongjiang Province, held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Weiguang Town’s Yihai Overseas Chinese Benevolence Health Center.

Liu Qi, Deputy Director of the General Office of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Director of the Public Benefit Undertakings Management and Service Center of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Vice Chairman and Secretary-general of the Council of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, Chi Guoqiang, Vice Chairman of Heilongjiang Provincial Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, and other leaders attended the ceremony. 

This Health Center was constructed with the donation by Ms. Wang Linda, Member of the Standing Committee of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, Standing Vice-chairwoman of China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs, Vice-chairwoman of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China, and Board Chairwoman of Yihai Group.  

This time, she donated RMB 200,000 Yuan to finance the construction of Weiguang Town Health Center, which is the first Overseas Chinese Benevolence Health Center in China constructed with the assistance of Overseas Chinese Charity Foundation of China. At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Sun Fuming, Director of Hulin Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, highly commended Wang Linda’s philanthropy. He instructed the Health Center’s doctors and nurses to operate and use the Health Center effectively, so as to be worthy of the compassion of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese.

It’s reported that overseas Chinese venture Yihai Group made a donation for constructing Qiancheng Overseas Chinese Benevolence Yihai Primary School in Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in 2008. In cooperation with All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese, the Group also has held multiple Training Classes for Overseas Chinese Benevolence School Principals, took part in a series of Overseas Chinese Benevolence Programs such as helping with the construction of New Beichuan High School and supporting bereaved families of the Haiti earthquake victims, etc.
